TRAVEL NEWS | WEST JET Removes 737 Boeing Max out of their line up until March 2020
Report from Westjet Airlines below:
On Sunday, December 8, WestJet is ran a schedule change to remove all Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft from service through to March 4, 2020.
WestJet continues to work with Transport Canada and other regulators while awaiting the impending software enhancements and training requirements for the MAX aircraft. Proactively removing the MAX from service helps ensure our mutual clients have booking reliability and can plan ahead.
While we do not have timing for the return of the MAX to our fleet, this schedule update reduces last-minute flight cancellations and disruptions to our mutual clients’ travel plans.
We understand the uncertainty our guests and partners have faced, and we thank you again for your continued patience. We look forward to returning the aircraft, safer than ever, to the skies.
