Travel news | Machu piccu is opening

Have you heard? As of November 1st Machu Piccu will be accepting international visitors.
Peru is entering Phase Four of its reopening, and in November, Machu Picchu will begin to receive tourists under strict biosecurity measures as flights will resume from 25 places mentioned below.

If you are looking to visit Peru here is what you will need to know:
• Since October, when Peru decided to open up slowly, they have been focusing on a more gradual, responsible and sustainable way, applying biosafety protocols to travel with safety and confidence as they welcome tourism.
• With the World Travel & Tourism Council safety seal certificate that Peru received, which is also supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Peruvian government is working with the private sector on biosafety protocols to guarantee the health of travelers. 

• International flights up to eight hours long will be allowed from 6 U.S cities and 19 cities to Lima from these countries: Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Miami, Houston and Atlanta. Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Jamaica and Mexico.
• Machu Picchu is scheduled to open on November 1 at 30 percent capacity to visitors.

• Back in October, other museums and archaeological sites in the country were reopened in at 50 percent capacity and with strict biosecurity measures in place. 
Currently, foreign travelers are allowed to arrive in Peru without quarantine if they have a negative PCR result.
